Chef Devin Alexander is rolling into Boston next week on an unlikely vessel. She’ll be arriving on a food truck of course, but not just any food truck – a giant, walnut food truck.
California Walnuts is teaming up with Chef Devin Alexander (New York Times bestselling author, healthy comfort food expert and chef from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser”) to bring a giant walnut food truck across Washington DC, Boston, and NYC over the course of this summer.
Why A Giant Walnut Truck?
So why will we be seeing a giant walnut roll into Boston? It’s all part of an initiative to showcase the wonderful walnut.
Chef Devin Alexander will be introducing the hungry public to her Chocolate Vanilla Walnut Grahamwich, which she developed as part of her research into the health benefits of walnuts. Chef Devin hopes to help eaters find fun and easy ways to incorporate the walnut wonder food into their everyday diets and recipes.

- Tuesday, July 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. [Sam Adams Park – across the street from the Sam Adams statue in downtown Boston]
What to Expect: Chef Alexander will be handing out free samples of her Chocolate Vanilla Walnut Grahamwich dessert. There will also be demos as well as walnut-cracking contests!
At each stop, Chef Alexander will be celebrating the culinary versatility of walnuts by handing out free samples and demonstrating how to prepare her new summertime dessert recipe: the Chocolate Vanilla Walnut Grahamwich.
